মনের মায়া
আমি আর নিজেকে জিজ্ঞাসা করি না যে তোমাকে মিস করি কি না। প্রশ্নটা খুব সরল, খুব পরিচ্ছন্ন -এমন কিছুর জন্য যা কখনো স্পষ্ট করে শেষ হয়নি। যার জন্য দরকার ছিল একটি পরিষ্কার প্রস্থান, দরজা ঠিকমতো বন্ধ হয়ে যাওয়া, শেষ কথার একটি নির্দিষ্ট ওজন যা বুকের ভিতরে নেমে গিয়ে আর কখনো ওপরে উঠত না। কিন্তু আমাদের সঙ্গে যা ঘটেছিল তা আরও নীরব ছিল, আরও কম দানশীল। যেন কোনো সমুদ্রের জোয়ার যা ধীরে ধীরে সরে গেছে, কিন্তু তার লবণ মাটিতে এমনভাবে মিশে গেছে যে সেই মাটি আর কোনোদিন আগের মতো নিজেকে চিনতে পারবে না।

শ্রাবণের বৃষ্টির ফোঁটাগুলো ক্যাফেটার কাঁচের জানালায় একটার পর একটা আছড়ে পড়ছে। ঠিক যেমন করে অর্কের মনের ভেতর জমানো প্রশ্নগুলো বারবার তিলোত্তমার নীরবতার দুর্ভেদ্য দেওয়ালে এসে ধাক্কা খেয়ে ফিরে যাচ্ছে। তিলোত্তমা বলছে “আমি ভালো আছি” - অথচ অর্ক দেখতে পাচ্ছে তার চোখের আড়ালে যে ভাঙচুর চলছে। ভালোবাসা কি শুধু আলো ভাগ করে নেওয়া? নাকি অন্ধকারের অংশ হওয়াও?

বিকেলের ম্লান আলোটা যখন কলকাতার চেনা রাজপথের ওপর এসে পড়ছিল, তিলোত্তমার চোখের দিকে তাকিয়ে অর্কের মনে হলো -সে এক অচেনা গোলকধাঁধায় দাঁড়িয়ে আছে। ক্যাফেতে দুটো কফির কাপ ঠান্ডা হয়ে গেছে। ঠিক যেমন করে দুটো মানুষের ভেতরের চেনা ওমটুকু আস্তে আস্তে জুড়িয়ে যায়। এই সংলাপ শুধু একটি সম্পর্কের নয় -এটি সত্তার রূপান্তর ও অবক্ষয়ের এক নিষ্ঠুর দর্পণ।
